May 31, 2010

Started out the day with some cereal for breakfast. Uncle Mark and the girls stayed behind and played while Aunt Cecily went to do the grocery shopping. The girls even snuck in a nap before I returned... Well, Camarin had just woke up and unfortunately, Coralee was woken up with all the commotion.

It proved to be a pretty whiny afternoon and Cailey learned the importance of letting toddler's finish their naps! We did manage to get in a few good rounds of "itsy bitsy spider" and "ring around the rosies" in between the fights over baby and cups.

Mark found that eating a snack meant sharing a snack! He also found that we have two American Idol Canidates in the house.

We also spent some time coloring on the Aqua Mat. Camarin drew several "Sponge Bob's" and Coralee drew "Bubba".

We enjoyed a fabulous steak dinner served with baked sweet potato and ranch style beans. The girls ate several plates of "meat" - they were eating it faster than Mark could get it cut for them.

We had another bubble bath, this time with Christy. We will be headed to bed shortly, ready for another day in the morning.

May 30, 2010

Woke up bright and early this morning. Camarin and Coralee both were in good moods, helping each other out of the bus. We then played with our two favorite things, rocks and bubbles, while breakfast was cooking. Camarin really enjoyed her eggs & sausage and of course, her bacon. Coralee ate her bacon.

Then we went to "wing, at da park" and "swide, at da park" with "Kisty" while the big kids & adults packed up camp.

We returned home in time for a quick lunch and naps. Mark even caught a few zzz's.

We enjoyed some spagetti and steamed asparagus for dinner. Then the girls went up stairs for a bath. Camarin saw the soap and asked for bubbles. So I let them have a bubble bath. I got their hair washed and then just watched them play. They started washing each others hair with the bubbles. It was too cute! Hollared downstairs for the camera, but as always... it was too late by the time the camera made it upstairs! I am going to have to strap that thing around my neck!!

After baths, we played beauty shop: clipped nails, toes and hands, just couldn't stand the bangs in the eyes anymore.

May 29, 2010

We got up fairly early and all in really good moods. Coralee and Camarin got to "play" with some crawdad's that Cailey and Parker caught last night. They thought that was pretty cool.
Ok.... who said that Coralee doesn't eat? She had 2 servings of eggs & sausage and several pieces of bacon!!
We are playing in the park now. Going to be lunch time soon, then nap... then we get to go swimming. Well, Coralee and Camarin get to go swimming. Public pool isn't open yet so I got the girls a little pool that they can play in.

How much fun we had playing in the water, watering the grass around us and splashing anyone that was brave enough (or hot enough) to come close to the pool!

The night ended with a good plate of weinies, green beans, pork-n-beans and some chips.. topped off with some ice cold peaches and cherries. Both the girls ate really well and seemed to enjoy the food and being outside.

Bathes (back at the house) and then off to bed.

The adventure begins. We decided to spend the weekend camping out at the park here in Ballinger. Uncle Randy and Parker joined us. Camarin and Coralee had a ball playing at the park with Christy and Cailey while we prepared dinner. Coralee chowed down 3 plates, yes 3 plates!! We BBQ'd some pork and chicken. Coralee really enjoyed the pork.. "more meat, sessy. more meat, plllleeezzzee"
After dinner we played around the campsite, had applesauce for dessert and the played some more until it was obvious that the little one's were getting sleepy. Coralee, Camarin and I hit the sack about 10 - we have no idea when everyone else decided to come to bed.

Twas the night before

T'was the night before "Twin Week" and all through the house,

not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

The laundry was done and folded with care,

For we all knew that the time was near.

A quick look around to look for the milk

For it must be replaced with containers of Silk.

Toys are all ready, diapers are too

For with two little toddlers, it won't be hard to find things to do.

By tomorrow afternoon, the fun will begin,

And for a little over a week, a single will become "Twin".
